Line Lead

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Communicates with multiple departments to determine the status/completion date of components required for assembly.
  • Works with Section Manager and Group Leaders to develop improvement ideas that support business objectives.
  • Prepares ALL Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for the Assembly area.
  • Coordinates with multiple departments to ensure rework is completed.
  • Gathers SQDC data and populates the daily file accordingly.
  • Ensures material Kanban systems and requests are properly filled out and executed in a timely fashion.
  • Confirms ALL inter-departmental requests are properly filled out and executed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures production materials are staged on the line before production process begins to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensures standard work procedures for operators and material handlers are being followed.
  • Initiates action with Group Leaders and Section Manager to eliminate issues preventing a quality, productive and on time delivery of a production job.
  • Supports continuous improvement to include production methods, productivity, delivery performance, equipment performance, and product quality and employee safety while engaging operators’ ideas.
  • Provides feedback to Group Leader / Section Manager for root cause and corrective action for KPI target misses and other production related issues for assigned jobs.
  • Ensures that ALL lines are properly torn down including material return to stock, storage of assembly fixtures and tool return, and all applicable 5S standards are met.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum high school diploma and one year certificate from college or technical school; 1 year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Industrios ERP system will be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and in writing.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented, and results driven.
  • Strong teamwork, communication and technical skills are essential.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
