Who we need

Reporting to the Vice President, Client Services, this is an opportunity to own all aspects of your account(s) and assigned portfolio. We need an Account Manager - with visual merchandising experience - to join the Manhattan/Long Island team. We need someone with strong project management capabilities and exceptional customer service skills to drive revenue and margin expansion as our next Account Manager. In this role, you will develop and manage the sales/project funnel as well as the design and development stages; ensuring projects are delivered on time and in full.

What our new Account Manager will do:

  • Manage and lead projects. Oversee and/or manage ongoing projects, providing the support needed to remove obstacles, obtain data, and meet deadlines. Provide end-to-end oversight on all aspects of the project from kickoff to launch, leading meetings, assigning resources, conducting forecasting and analysis, generating reports, managing issues and alleviating client concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for commercial sales growth. Dive into the needs of the client and provide innovation and project management support to deepen their commitment to us.
  • Develop a deep and broad understanding of the brand. Work closely with client contacts to record requirements, completing and sharing the client ‘Briefing’ document.
  • Lead a team. Provide leadership for the account team – directly or indirectly – including forecasting, project management, performance feedback, training, performance coaching, communication, motivation, priorities, and focus.

The skills you bring as an Account Manager:

  • The education. You have a university degree in Business Administration, Industrial Design, Engineering or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or Design is preferred. PMP Certification is highly preferred. 
  • The experience. You have progressive project management and/or technical experience, ideally in the cosmetics industry. You have: 
    • High attention to detail, a commitment to successfully delivering multiple projects simultaneously and can give direction to cross-functional teams
    • Ability to develop and grow the account through excellence in execution and outstanding relationship management
    • Exposure to the product manufacturing process is a beneficial skill. You are comfortable on the manufacturing floor.
  • People management skills. You know how to organize people and capitalize on their strengths. You have a tolerance for ambiguity and can frame opportunities for synergy and integration. You can effectively motivate a team while prioritizing and keeping your eye on sizeable, concurrent deliverables.
  • The drive. You take the initiative to solve difficult problems with rigorous logic and methods. You look beyond the obvious and don’t stop at the first answers. You manage deadlines, client expectations, and plan and prioritize deliverables with your client and internal teams.
  • The technical skills. You have expertise in project management, design, engineering and/or cost estimation. You have expertise using project management tools and MS Office Suite. You embrace learning new technologies.
  • The flexibility.  You have a valid passport and can travel if needed.
